How to make rice (Biryani) with chicken |
Ingredients:
- A whole chicken cut into pieces
- Basmati rice: two cups
- Vermicelli: a quarter cup (roasted)
- Carrots: a cup (and frozen peas)
- Potatoes: 3 grains (medium cut into cubes)
- Onion: 1 piece (finely chopped)
- Raisins (currants): a quarter cup (and fried almonds)
- Biryani spices: one tablespoon
- Black lemon (nomi basra) dried lime or lomi: half a teaspoon (crushed)
- Turmeric: half a teaspoon
How to prepare :
- Boil the chicken in the usual way, drain it, and then fry it to brown.
- Boil potatoes, carrots and peas, and then fry them.
- We put raisins and fried almonds, a pinch of salt and biryani spices.
- Add the turmeric, biryani spices, ground lemon and roasted vermicelli to the broth, then pour the rice to boil it with the broth.
- When serving, we add vegetables and chicken to the rice, and decorate it with almonds and currants (raisins).
- Serve it directly to your trip
